Slow Down

What's the rush, everyone?

Yes. Almost all of you. You're all rushing like there's no tomorrow. Homework, school, work, etc.

Slow the hell down. Stop to smell the roses once in a while. What's life without relaxing a little? Relax. Hit the pause button on your life. While on pause, just do whatever you want. Let it all out, your choice.

Life's a lot easier to go through that way. Especially us teenagers. We're in the time of our lives. And all you wanna do is work your asses off? Not that there's anything wrong with working but it's unhealthy to overdo it.

Thinking about your future, yeah that's good, but it's easier to 'think about your future' when you pause, put everything aside and think. Not think while you're rushing through your Math homework or something like that.

Sit down, look at the sky. If you haven't notice (probably because you're rushing), it's one helluva sight. Beautiful, especially when the day's coming to an end.

But hey, that's just one guy's opinion. I love walking slowly, thinking, seeing and appreciating this beautiful world that's going by unnoticed.

But, well, like I said, that's just my opinion. You may have other thoughts/feelings. and I'll be more than happy if you'd want to share your views with me.

Till then,
I'm never gonna put and emo phrase here

Blood Diamond

Sneaked into Blood Diamond just now. And, I have to say, I'll give it 5/5.

The movie shows how diamonds cause death. Thousands of people are killed for them. They even take children and make them into killers (child soldiers, which by the way, still exist in large numbers). They are forced to kill innocent people.

Is it worth it? One diamond you buy could cause the limbs of children, or even the lives of people, be it men, women or children.

It really gets you thinking.

When you want to buy a diamond ring for your loved one or whatever reason, a lot of lives are lost (unless they are non-conflict diamonds, which are not made/found illegally).

I know this is a short post but I can't really explain it with words. Just watch the movie and see for yourself.

Is it worth it?

First day of School in 2007/3J`07/Revamp

What's up, dudes (and dudettes)? I'm VERY sorry for the extreme lack of updates, especially with stuff like New Year's Day etc, etc going on. So...Here's the first part of the post.

Woke up with yawn, it's dawning. I'm still alive. Turned on my radio to start up new day.

Cut the crap.

Woke up by the beautiful recorded TK fire alarm (my alarm tone) at 5.45am and got out of bed, all ready for school excited but kinda tired. Took a nice long and warm shower and well, before I knew it, I was on my way to TK.

When I reached the best place in the land, the first two people I met whom I knew were none other than ex-classmates Cheryl and Yu Shan! Since Cheryl was in the same class as Nigel, I handed her the PSP box which was supposed to be handed to Nigel.

Put my fully loaded (with books) bag in 3J, and rushed to 2C to take the Sec. 2 books which I never took home. And, oh well, they got thrown away.

And then it was assembly. Seemed like I was the only one singing back then. Also, Mrs Lim said to those with nice and/or long hair that my hair was good. Save water, save shampoo. See? You get to save and get bubble tea.

Admin stuff and guess what.

3J `07's form teachers are none other than Mdm Shahera and Mr Teo. Two of the coolest teachers I ever had. Haha. And me, being the most enthusiastic/extra volunteered for a position in the class commitee and I got to be the CIP Rep. Whooyeah!

Also, the upper level recess seems to be much more crowded than the lower level recess. Darn.

Oh, by the way, I'm sitting beside Brandon Ng and behind Masahiro Iwaki (WHOOHOOOOO!) in class. Sadly, Aman didn't come. I wonder why...

So, yeah. School ended pretty quick, with all my books stored neatly and safely under my desk. Got to hang up banners and paste posters and stuff like that. And something cool happened.

Daniel, Timothy and I were slacking two metres away from the Sec. 1's who were waiting for their turn in the choir audition (which is, by the way, forced) and I saw the choir seniors' desperate attempts to make the Sec. 1 males interested. So we decided to make him more desperate.

Each of us holding a poster (of shooting, trekking and kayaking) and before we knew it, they asked for the posters and distributed them, each of the guys holding a poster as if it were something holy (well, duh, I'm in the CCA). Managed to get some Sec. 1s able to greet us when we say "hi" or "hello".

The banner, "NCC (SEA): Where Boys Become SEAMEN" was hung up right in between the flagpoles behind the podium. At least until tomorrow, that is. But, hey, that's enough time.

Daniel and Timothy came over to my place to complete the brochure and I have to say, Daniel is really good in making things look professional.

Well, then. On to part 2/3 of this post.

3J`07

Seems like a really cool class, although people gotta get closer but hey, we've got all year to do that right?

The people there are really cool. Super friendly, with me being the friendliest, of course.

But this is a little too early to make comments, right?

So stay tuned.

Revamp

A lot of you might have noticed that the emo picture of Shinatama (who, very unfortunately died many, many times in front of my eyes) is now changed to a bright, cool, very cartoon-ey skin.

Personally, I think it's my best work yet.

Cool.

P.S. Bring a jacket to school for the rest of Sec. 3 life.
